The first essential requirement is to have a valid passport.If you are a Spanish citizen, your passport must meet the following conditions:

  • Blank pages: Make sure your passport has at least two blank pages for entry and exit stamps.

Visas

Requirements to travel to Uganda: Visa

To enter Uganda, the Spanish citizens need a visa. The tourist visa allows a stay of up to 90 days to Uganda. This visa is processed online through the Official Portal of the Government of Uganda. It has a cost of 50 USD.

Health Requirements and Vaccines

The yellow fever vaccine is mandatory to enter Uganda. Later, there are other recommended vaccines that you can take as a prevention or reminder.

Travel insurance

It is not an official requirement, but We strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance including medical coverage, emergency evacuation and repatriation.

Requirements to travel to Uganda: Ugandan Shillings (UGX)

The official currency isUgandan shilling (UGX). Although in cities and tourist places accept US dollarsonly after 2017, it does not hurt to bring local currency for minor expenses.

Thecredit cards are accepted in category hotels and restaurants, but are not accepted in small businesses or in rural areas.Make sure you bring enough cash.
