Starting from on October 1, 2024,Zanzibar will impose a Compulsory insurance for all tourists visiting the island.
From September 1 you can start processing it online at your official page.

The price of this insurance is $44.Once you sign up, you will receive a QR codewhich you will have to show to the relevant authorities.
Unlike other insurances, this It is not optional,but mandatory. There is no point in presenting other travel insurance, only yours.
For families, they offer the option of making a pack and reducing prices. “Premium” insurance with better coverage is also available.
This insurance offers coverage for up to 92 days, which coincides with the 3 months of validity of your visa. It cannot be renewed and, if you stay on the island after 92 days, you will have to manage it again.
