ABOUT OUR PRIVATE OR GROUP TRIPS

WATATU TRAVEL states that the traveler assumes and understands the inherent efforts of undertaking a safari, a predominantly terrestrial journey conducted in 4x4 vehicles, across roads and tracks that are not always in optimal condition. During the journey, setbacks and difficulties inherent to the adventurous nature of a safari may arise, such as vehicle breakdowns, adverse weather conditions, limited food variety, and the consequent physical and emotional fatigue of the traveler, among others.

WATATU TRAVEL assumes that the traveler voluntarily participates in an international trip, understanding that the destination has significantly different characteristics from their country of origin, and that its structure and organization at all levels may vary from what they are accustomed to.

WATATU TRAVEL assumes that the traveler is aware of the existence of endemic diseases different from those in their country of origin and understands that it is advisable to follow prophylactic treatments, which are their responsibility.

WATATU TRAVEL understands that the traveler is aware of the possible risks associated with this trip, such as car accidents, adverse natural phenomena, living and hygiene conditions inferior to those in their country of origin, and, in more exceptional cases, animal attacks, venomous bites, crime, or terrorism. Furthermore, the traveler understands that they might not have access to rapid evacuation or comprehensive medical assistance in certain circumstances.

WATATU TRAVEL understands that the traveler assumes that circumstances may arise during the trip that lead to variations in itineraries and activities, which will in no case be premeditated. Such unforeseen events, if they occur, are solely attributable to the peculiarities of the type of trip and the location where it takes place.

WATATU TRAVEL disclaims all responsibility for conduct deemed irresponsible by the traveler. WATATU TRAVEL assumes that the traveler voluntarily accepts the risks associated with not following the rules of the guide or establishments during this type of trip. The traveler exempts all members of WATATU TRAVEL from any liability for actions that endanger the traveler themselves or the group as a whole.

Our trips, designed with great care and professionalism, are aimed at small groups, couples, families, and solo travelers alike. The main objective of these trips is to generate a positive impact both on the local community, by providing direct income, and on the traveler themselves, by incorporating activities related to social, conservation, and learning projects into the safari itinerary. To ensure an optimal experience during a group safari, travelers must be aware of certain rules that promote good group coexistence, such as rotating seats in 4x4 vehicles and avoiding offensive comments towards other participants.

IF YOU ARE TRAVELING ALONE. Travelers joining our small group safaris will need to pay the single supplement for a private room. If another traveler in the same situation is found – and both agree – a TWIN room (two separate beds) can be shared, thus avoiding the single supplement. There may not be enough TWIN rooms, in which case we will provide a double or triple room. If the single supplement was initially paid and a roommate is subsequently found, the full supplement will be refunded.

WATATU TRAVEL assumes that the traveler is informed about the general entry requirements for the country and is responsible for presenting all necessary documentation upon arrival. Should entry to the country be denied by authorities due to non-compliance with these requirements, WATATU TRAVEL disclaims all responsibility for the resulting consequences. Any expenses incurred, including the sending of documents by courier if necessary, will be the traveler's responsibility. In this situation, the agency's service cancellation conditions will apply.

WATATU TRAVEL assumes that the traveler is aware of the general conditions of the contracted trip specified in this document and the detailed itinerary.
