We will visit the most important national parks in the country and go in search of primates: the world's last mountain gorillas in Bwindi and chimpanzees in Kibale National Park.
In addition, we will go on safari on foot, by boat and by car to observe wildlife in total freedom: lions, elephants, hippos, giraffes... An adventure designed to see the maximum of the country in just 8 days.

El teu itinerari detallat del safari
Arrival in Entebbe
A Watatu representative will pick you up at Entebbe International Airport. Once we have met, we will head to the accommodation and we will make the presentation of all the adventurers. We will have the afternoon to rest and/or take a walk on Lake Victoria.
En route to Kibale Forest National Park
We start the day with breakfast and set off on our way to Kibale Forest National Park (6—7 hours by car). It is one of the last jewels of the African continent and one of the places in the world with the highest density of apes. Up to 13 species of primates can be found here, including the chimpanzee. During the journey we will leave the city behind and enter the rural landscapes of Uganda. We will arrive at Fort Portal, where we will enjoy a local lunch. On the way to our lodge in Kibale, we will stop in the middle of a tea plantation to take a picture and enjoy a brief explanation by our guide. After arriving at our hotel and resting, we will head to Bigodi, where we will observe the ancestral process of making coffee and learn how to brew a unique local drink: banana beer.
Trekking a Kibale a la recerca de Ximpanzés
Aquest dia serà difícil d’oblidar. Amb els nostres rangers, ens endinsarem al bosc de Kibale per veure els últims ximpanzés salvatges del món. Un cop localitzem una família, els podrem observar durant una hora. Podrem apreciar les seves rutines matinals, els jocs entre mares i cries o les relacions territorials entre mascles. En acabar l’activitat, gaudirem d’un dinar local i gaudirem d'una tarda per descansar al nostre lodge.
Safari a Queen Elisabeth i excursió en barca pel canal de Kazinga
A primera hora del matí ens desplaçarem a la zona de Kasenyi per fer un safari i buscar tot tipus d’antílops, elefants i, si tenim sort, lleons. Després de fer una parada per dinar a l’allotjament, continuarem amb un safari en vaixell privat pel canal de Kazinga, a la recerca d’hipopòtams, cocodrils i elefants que s’apropen a la riba per abeurar-se. Tornarem a l’allotjament per contemplar una posta de sol amb vistes a la sabana i descansarem per preparar la travessia de l’endemà.
In search of climbing lions in Ishasha and heading to Bwindi National Park
Breakfast at the accommodation and departure en route to Ishasha, the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park. We will go in search of the famous climbing lions and other species of the area. After lunch, we will get to know the project “Save Wildlife Community” and continue the journey to the Impenetrable Forest of Bwindi. Right on the edge of the park, in Ruhija, we will spend the night and prepare for the excursion the next day.
Gorilla trekking in Bwindi
The day has come, the moment you have dreamed of all your life. Early in the morning we will explore the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest (habitat of almost 600 mountain gorillas, half of the world's population). After an informative chat with the rangers, we will begin the search for the last mountain gorillas on the planet. The walk usually lasts between 3 and 6 hours. Once we locate the family, we will have 1 hour to observe the behavior of these primates. Lunch in the jungle and return, in the afternoon, to the accommodation.
En ruta cap el llac Mburo i safari amb girafes
Ens acomiadem de Bwindi i posem rumb al llac Mburo (6–7 hores en cotxe). Durant el recorregut farem una parada a Kabale per visitar el mercat local i continuarem el nostre camí fins al nostre lodge a Lake Mburo. Dinararem a l’hotel i tindrem l’oportunitat de descansar. A la tarda realitzarem un safari a peu i "caminarem entre gegants" dins del parc (safari a peu amb girafes). Amb un 20 % de zones humides i un altre 80 % de sabana, Mburo acull una biodiversitat de fauna increïble: girafes, zebres, impales, búfals o lleopards ens hi esperen. Més tard, tornarem a l’allotjament i brindarem per un dia de somni.
Tornada a Entebbe i vol internacional
Encara que costi de creure, l’aventura a Uganda arriba al final. Mentre deixem enrere Mburo i les zones rurals del país en direcció a Entebbe, comentarem tot el que hem viscut durant aquest viatge inoblidable. Finalment arribarem a l'aeroport internacional per tornar cap a casa.
The Bwindi Forest, in Uganda, is a biodiversity sanctuary with a forest surrounded by fog, creating a magical and mysterious atmosphere. This ancient forest, a World Heritage Site, is home to one of the last populations of endangered mountain gorillas. With towering trees and rich flora, Bwindi is a labyrinth of life where the singing of birds and the whisper of the wind between the leaves form a natural symphony.
Kibale National Park is one of the country's jewels. This biodiversity sanctuary, known as the “Kingdom of the Primates”, is home to a surprising variety of wildlife, including 13 species of primates, although the real protagonists are chimpanzees. You can also hear the songs of more than 375 species of birds, as elephants and antelopes wander among the giant trees of the dense forest.

The Kiambura Gorge, located in Queen Elizabeth National Park, is a hidden haven of biodiversity in the middle of the Ugandan savannah. This deep and leafy valley is home to a wide variety of wildlife, with primates, especially chimpanzees, being its most emblematic inhabitants. In addition, it is an ideal place to listen and observe exotic birds, while small antelopes and baboons roam the paths of the forest. Just a 10-minute walk from the Rushaga Gate of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, you can relax after the famous gorilla walk and enjoy a spectacular view of the park from your room.
