Your detailed safari itinerary
Arrival in Entebbe
A Watatu representative will pick you up at Entebbe International Airport. Once we have met, we will head to the accommodation and we will make the presentation of all the adventurers. We will have the afternoon to rest and/or take a walk on Lake Victoria.

En route to Kibale Forest National Park
We start the day with breakfast and set off on our way to Kibale Forest National Park (6—7 hours by car). It is one of the last jewels of the African continent and one of the places in the world with the highest density of apes. Up to 13 species of primates can be found here, including the chimpanzee. During the journey we will leave the city behind and enter the rural landscapes of Uganda. We will arrive at Fort Portal, where we will enjoy a local lunch. On the way to our lodge in Kibale, we will stop in the middle of a tea plantation to take a picture and enjoy a brief explanation by our guide. After arriving at our hotel and resting, we will head to Bigodi, where we will observe the ancestral process of making coffee and learn how to brew a unique local drink: banana beer.

Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale
This will be an unforgettable day. Accompanied by our rangers, we will venture into Kibale Forest to see the world's last wild chimpanzees. Once we locate a family, we will be able to observe them for an hour. We can observe their morning routines, the playful interactions between mothers and their young, or the territorial relationships among males. After the activity, we will enjoy a local lunch and have the afternoon to relax at our lodge.
En route to Queen Elizabeth and boat safari on the Kazinga Channel
Early in the morning, we will begin our journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Taking an alternative route, we will leave the Kibale mountains behind and venture into a landscape of volcanoes, craters, and savanna. Upon arrival at our lodge, we will have lunch, and in the afternoon, we will head to the legendary Kazinga Channel. We will cruise along the channel, spotting numerous groups of hippos, and if we're lucky, we might see elephants on the banks.

Safari in Queen Elizabeth and excursion to Kyambura Gorge
Early in the morning, we will head to the Kasenyi area for a safari to look for all kinds of antelopes, elephants, and, if we're lucky, lions. In the afternoon, we will take an excursion through the famous Kyambura Gorge. In this tropical forest, we will look for birds, antelopes, and track the chimpanzee families in the area. Afterwards, we will go to the hotel to rest and enjoy the savanna views. An incredible day that we will remember for a long time!
Searching for tree-climbing lions in Ishasha and heading to Bwindi National Park
Breakfast at the lodge, then depart for Ishasha, the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park. We'll search for the famous tree-climbing lions and other local wildlife. We'll have lunch and learn about the "Save Wildlife Community" project. Afterwards, we'll continue our journey towards the impenetrable Bwindi Forest. We'll spend the night just outside Bwindi, in Buhoma, and prepare for the next day's trek.

Trekking through the Bwindi Forest
Breakfast and ready to do the trekking that crosses the Impenetrable Forest of Bwindi: “The beat of Bwindi”. This route, used by the local population, connects the villages of Buhoma and Nteko. During the tour we will enter the jungle, passing through waterfalls and mountainous terrain (if you do not want to do this activity, you can go by car with the guide to the accommodation). We will have lunch during the trekking and continue to Nteko, where a car will take us to the next lodge.

Gorilla trekking in Bwindi
The day has come, the moment you have dreamed of all your life. Early in the morning we will explore the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest (habitat of almost 600 mountain gorillas, half of the world's population). After an informative chat with the rangers, we will begin the search for the last mountain gorillas on the planet. The walk usually lasts between 3 and 6 hours. Once we locate the family, we will have 1 hour to observe the behavior of these primates. Lunch in the jungle and return, in the afternoon, to the accommodation.

En route to Lake Mburo and safari with giraffes
We say goodbye to Bwindi and head to Lake Mburo (6—7 hours by car). During the tour we will make a stop in Kabale to visit the local market and continue our way to our lodge in Lake Mburo. We will have lunch at the hotel and have the opportunity to rest. In the afternoon we will go on a walking safari and “walk among giants” inside the park (walking safari with giraffes). With 20% wetlands and another 80% savannah, Mburo is home to an incredible biodiversity of fauna: giraffes, zebras, impalas, buffaloes or leopards await us. Later, we will return to the accommodation and toast for a dream day.

Heading to Entebbe and the "Shoebill Expedition on Lake Victoria"
Today we leave Mburo and the rural areas of Uganda behind, heading towards Entebbe (5–6 h). The adventure isn't over yet! In Entebbe, we'll return to our hotel and have lunch. In the afternoon, we'll bid farewell to this incredible trip with the "Shoebill Expedition". We'll explore the swampy areas of Lake Victoria by traditional canoe in search of the shoebill, arguably the most famous and special bird in all of Uganda. Its wingspan of over 1 meter and enormous beak have made it a target for hunters, but here it still has a small refuge. Later, we'll return to the hotel for dinner and rest.

Breakfast and return international flight
Although it seems a lie, the adventure in Uganda has come to an end. We will say goodbye to the whole group and arrange a transfer to the airport. International flight
